Glasgow International Airport (IATA: GLA) is located 11 km west of downtown Glasgow, near the towns of Paisley and Renfrew in Scotland. In 2008 the airport handled 8,178,891 passengers, making it the 2nd busiest in Scotland, and eighth busiest airport in the United Kingdom. It was the first airport in Scotland to handle over one million passengers in one month, in July 2004.
